Meet Tennessee Rick and Patty from Cincinnati . 💛

Today Jen spent a joy-filled day around the Knoxville area with two of the most delightful humans you could ever meet. (Well, these two plus members of Professional Photographers of East Tennessee to “reflect” on photography)

Their story reads like a great one. A completely "by chance" meeting, an evening of chatting, and Tennessee thinking that if he didn't ask Patty out, he might never see her again. She said yes. They married a year later, and now they're celebrating 36 years together (which Tennessee says feels like a finger snap). And yes, "Tennessee Rick" is his real, legal first name, gifted by the best mom in the world who promised folks would remember him.

She was right. He's the jokester of the pair, Patty is the retired nurse who now paints, plays guitar, and loves to travel, and yes, they own a square foot of land in Scotland, so technically we photographed a Laird and a Lady. They cherish the little things too: morning coffee, weekly date nights, and memories of T.O. the Wonder Dog. To possess just a fraction of the joy they share would be enough to last 36 lifetimes. Together, they are joy wrapped in a hug wrapped in happiness (with a butt squeeze or two in there). We couldn't keep the smiles off our faces as these two were in front of the camera.

Here's the beautiful truth Tennessee reminded us of: photographs become gifts we give our future selves. The little moments become the big ones, and one day we look back grateful they were captured.

Kat and Jessie, this is your love story's opening number.

Two tortured musical theatre writers who met at NYU, fell hard, and never looked back.

Picture it: Kat the composer, Jessie the wordsmith, separated by a class and a whole pandemic. Then Jessie got brave, they went on a wonderfully confusing friend date, and Kat kissed her before promptly running away. (She came back, obviously. This is a love story, darling.) Fast forward, and these two were so smitten they proposed to each other. Jessie went first, on October 4th, exactly five years since that first kiss, with music and loved ones at Henrietta Hudson's. It was romantic and beautiful and very much a Jessie move. Then Kat, never one to be outdone, waited a whole week and smuggled a proposal into the final act of an elaborate Traitors-themed party. Jessie's mom put it best: "Kat was playing chess while you were playing checkers." The woman is a composer. She knows how to build to a finale. For their engagement session, they wanted something theatrical, bewitching, and playful, so we swept them off to the most darkly romantic spot in the Poconos. Vines, stone, and a treeline that simply does not quit, all to ourselves. These two even collect ghost-face glassware every time a dish shatters, slowly haunting their own cupboard, and honestly? Iconic. On October 31, 2026, they say "I do" at The Stone House at Stirling Ridge, and we cannot wait. Go show Kat and Jessie some love in the comments. 🎄 Plot twist: Christmas in July is running a little late this year… 🎄

We had big plans to spill all our holiday magic today. Santa. Trees. Twinkly lights. The works.

And then Jimothy happened.

For those who haven't met him, Jimothy is our now adopted resident booking gremlin. 😈 (in reality, we're switching to a shiny new booking system which is AWESOME, but is taking a bit of extra time…), and let's just say Jimothy has opinions. He's been clicking buttons, rearranging calendars, and generally causing chaos behind the scenes. (We've offered him cookies. He remains unbothered.)

So here's the deal: we're taking a beat to get everything perfect before we hit "go."

Even the Canadian wildfires couldn't steal the spotlight from Ally and Ian! 🔥🐠

Fox & Brazen had the absolute joy of capturing Ally and Ian's magical wedding day at Adventure Aquarium.

The view of Philadelphia from the Camden side set the scene perfectly for two best friends ready to say "I do." Ally and Ian shared their private vow reading inside the shark tunnel, surrounded by 21 (or so) of their closest sharkie friends. (Sadly, no one said "I chews you," but a fin can dream and we know the sharks were thinking it) Their first look was everything they'd hoped for, that heart-stopping moment when the two people who once shared a dorm hall at Alvernia University finally saw each other all glammed up and ready to begin their forever. These two are the kind of couple who love a cozy movie night just as much as they love jumping up for a spontaneous sweet treat run, and honestly? That balance of comfort and adventure showed in every single frame. And if you know Ally, you already know she brought every bit of that Jersey girl spark straight across the Delaware. As Ian puts it, "You can take the girl out of Jersey, but you can't take the Jersey out of the girl." We believe it, and we have the photos to prove it.

From Hinge to happily ever after at Hotel Monaco.

On May 2, 2026, we had the absolute joy of capturing a day that felt heartfelt, playful, and full of love.

Judy and Dan’s wedding at Hotel Monaco was everything they hoped for: fun, romantic, and comfortable in all the best ways. These two first met on Hinge, and their love story already had Barkley starring in a leading role long before the wedding day. Dan proposed during a weekend in Chesapeake City by texting Judy a photo of Barkley with an engagement ring, then dropping to one knee in a garden gazebo. So it felt perfectly full-circle that their rooftop first look with Barkley was pure magic—waggy tails, dog kisses, and all. And later, if there was a dry eye left in the room, we sure didn’t see it when Dan shared a deeply emotional dance with his grandmother. We had the best time capturing every sweet, joyful second.
