Helping someone feel comfortable in front of the camera brings me a lot of joy. And when it's a fellow photographer, the feeling is even better. 📷

When you're used to always being behind the camera it can be challenging to swap places—trust me, it's not my favorite thing either. So helping someone feel relaxed and at ease during a session is a big part of my job (and something I really enjoy).

As soon as I saw the "Girl Dad" hat, I knew this was going to be a fun session. 😄

Not only were the little girls twinning perfectly, but mom and dad looked amazing in their jeans and white tees. Classy simplicity at its best. 🌟

I finally made it to the NY State Fair! 🎡🎪🎠

I've let it pass me by every summer since I moved to the area, but this was the year...and I'm so glad I went.

While the kids fearlessly enjoyed ride after ride, I delighted in a slower pace—seeing the sites, farm animals, and trying some great food (of course).

Already can't wait for more fun (and more photos) next year.

TFW your session brief is "industrial portrait" and your location overdelivers 💯

This portrait session for fellow photographer .catalano.56 was a blast! Originally rained out, we had great luck with some golden hour sun the following day.

Bonus points to Josh and his girlfriend for being game to explore an after-hours construction site for these photos.

I even managed to get in some extra blue (Josh's brand color!) in the scenery.

One of my favorite things about late summer in Central New York? The hydrangeas are in full bloom. 🌿

Can we take a moment to appreciate the little guy's smile? I heard he'd been practicing before the session, and I'd say all that hard work paid off! 😃

Whether it was running through the lavender, playing hide-and-seek, or being tossed in the air, this little dude and his parents were all smiles. IMO: these are the moments worth remembering.
