Having the opportunity to be both big sister and photographer on my little sister’s special day was an honor of a lifetime. To witness every small moment, catch it, and keep it forever, there are no words.

Watching her share her love with her husband and see the way he showed up for her, looked at her, and loved her out loud in front of everyone…that did something to me.

To see that love poured right back on both of them by everyone in that room was everything, my heart was so happy. This was a day full of honoring memories, new beginnings, and a good old swag surf.

Here’s to the Friend-Johnsons 🖤🥂!!

Hi, I’m Krissy
I’m the chick you call when you want to get married with someone who feels like your best friend, someone who knows all the good angles to make you look good, and can read a room so well that you actually get to live in every single moment.
No stiff posing. No stressful directing. Just you, your person, and memories that actually feel like you.
If that sounds like what you’ve been looking for …….hi, it’s me 👋🏾

✨ It wasn’t the location, the outfits, or the timeline that made this day unforgettable, it was the way Katarina & Justin looked at each other.✨

Their elopement wasn’t about big moments, it was about every small one that mattered.
From quiet laughter…
to that look that only they understand…
to the way they held hands like they’d never let go.

This is what love feels like.
Not perfect,just real.

To every couple thinking about an elopement:
❤️ Choose intention
❤️ Choose connection
❤️ Choose you

Your day will be beautiful because it’s authentically yours.

— Krissy 💛

In 2026, I’m choosing calm over chaos. 🤍

As a wedding & elopement photographer, here are a few things I’m lovingly saying no to so I can say a fuller yes to the couples I’m meant to serve:

• Rushed, overpacked wedding days with no room to breathe
• Pricing negotiations or guilt-based discounts
• Being “just the photographer” instead of a calming presence and guide
• Weddings that prioritize performance over connection
• Environments that aren’t inclusive, safe, or affirming

I believe wedding days should feel like a cinematic warm hug: grounded, intentional, and deeply human.
If you value presence, softness, and being fully yourself… we’re probably a really good fit.

Here’s to choosing what feels supportive, not just expected. ✨

Xoxo,
Krissy

Travel and laughter have been at the heart of my journey as an elopement photographer. Sharing my love for Arizona with couples who visit this beautiful state has always been special, and recently, I’ve found new places that echo the magic of red rock desert vibes in fresh ways.

One of the greatest joys in my work is meeting couples from all over the world—hearing their stories, learning about their adventures, and sharing laughter along the way. During our time together, my goal is always the same: to make you feel seen, to capture your love authentically, and to help you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves in front of the camera.

Laughter has a way of breaking down walls and bringing out the essence of who you are together. That’s what I hope to reflect in the images we create—moments full of connection, light, and joy

Day 14: DIY

When it comes to your wedding or elopement, *this day is about you*. So why not create an experience that feels like *home*—a day that tells your story, your way?

DIY is more than just saving a few bucks. It’s about weaving your personality and relationship into every detail of your day. Think about the things that make your love unique: the adventures you’ve shared, the inside jokes, the little things you do to make each other smile. Those moments? Bring them to life.

💡 Out-of-the-Box DIY Ideas:
✨ Personalized vows books: Handwrite your vows in a keepsake journal you can revisit on anniversaries.
✨ Custom ceremony backdrop: Repurpose a tapestry, create a floral arch, or paint something together. Let it be as unique as your story.
✨ DIY charcuterie board: Feature snacks and flavors that remind you of your first date or a special trip.
✨ Interactive guest experiences: Polaroid cameras for guests, a time capsule to open on your 10th anniversary, or a guestbook made of postcards from places you love.
✨ Intimate activities: Craft cocktails or make a playlist for a post-ceremony dance under the stars.

Whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering of loved ones, a DIY approach allows your day to reflect the things that matter most to you. It’s not about being Pinterest-perfect; it’s about creating a day that feels real, personal, and unforgettable.

Day 13: Story 📝

Your elopement is more than a moment—it’s a declaration, a celebration, and a story waiting to be told. It’s a chance to step away from the noise and craft a day that feels like home. A day that reflects the love you’ve built, the journey you’ve shared, and the dreams you’re chasing together.

✨ Imagine this: your vows written in the quiet of your favorite park, whispered under the glow of golden light. A ceremony surrounded by the ocean breeze or mountain peaks that echo your spirit. Every detail—every step—uniquely you.

Here’s how to infuse your story into your elopement:
1️⃣ Make your vows a time capsule. Write them by hand in a journal you can treasure, or even read letters you’ve exchanged over the years. Let your words carry the weight of your love story.
2️⃣ Find a setting with meaning. Whether it’s a place that holds your history or a dream destination you’ve been imagining for years, let the location tell your story before you even say a word.
3️⃣ Honor your roots. Incorporate family heirlooms, cultural traditions, or pieces of your history—like wearing something passed down or weaving your heritage into the ceremony.
4️⃣ Surround yourself with your favorites. Bring your favorite snacks, playlists, or even a cozy blanket you’ve shared a million times. These little things turn a moment into magic.
5️⃣ Invite your loved ones in spirit. If it’s just the two of you, carry them in subtle ways—letters to read, a photo tucked in your bouquet, or something borrowed from someone you hold dear.

This day is yours—no rules, no expectations, just love in its most honest form. So dream big, lean into your story, and let your hearts lead the way.

📸 I’m here to capture it all—the intimacy, the emotion, the beauty of a day that is unapologetically YOU. Together, we’ll create something that’s not just a memory, but a masterpiece of your love

Day 11: Gold

Golden hour isn’t just my favorite time to shoot—it’s a whole vibe, a feeling, a moment where everything just clicks. There’s something about that light, soft and warm, that feels like it’s wrapping you in a hug. It’s like the sun knows it’s time to shine, and it shows up for us.

Growing up in Arizona, I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with the sun. It can be bold, harsh, and unforgiving. But when you catch it at the right time? Whew, it softens into something magical. That’s where I come in—I take that glow and make it dance. I love finding those little pockets of light that wrap around a couple like it was meant just for them.

When I see two people in that light, it feels like the world stops. The sun becomes their spotlight, and everything else just fades away. It’s golden, y’all—pure, cozy, love-soaked gold.

This is why I do what I do. These golden moments remind me that love is meant to be seen, celebrated, and held in the warmth of something bigger than us.

Day 8 & 9: Ethos and Candid

The moments I love capturing most are the ones where you’re so present, so wrapped up in the day, that you forget I’m even there. Those raw, real moments where you let go and just be—that’s where the magic is.
On your wedding day, I’m not just there with a camera—I’m there to guide you through the parts that feel a little overwhelming and to step back when you’re completely in your element. I’ll crack jokes to help you relax, cheer you on when you need it, and quietly capture the little nuances that make your love uniquely yours.
For me, photography isn’t just about pretty pictures—it’s about creating something that feels like you. My work is guided by authenticity, inclusivity, joy, and storytelling. I want your photos to reflect your personalities and the connection you share in a way that feels artful and full of life.
Whether it’s relaxed poses or candid moments, I let the vibe of your day and your energy lead me. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves, and to create photos that feel like timeless pieces of nostalgia you’ll want to hold onto forever.
