I came to one of the biggest home service conferences in the country with a camera in my hand and a shirt offering FREE LinkedIn headshots… I walked away learning something I think matters a lot right now.

More than 15 people I had never met came up and asked me to take their photo. We talked, we connected, and I learned about their businesses.

This reminded me that AI isn’t replacing the value of showing up in-person (especially for professional content creators.)

AI is changing our industry, and I’m absolutely going to keep implementing it, but there is still something different about having a real person behind the camera. Someone who can make you comfortable, notice the little things, understand your brand, capture your personality, and actually build a relationship with you in the process.

This is especially true in the home service industry, where so much of business is built on trust! Job sites + people still matter.

The future isn’t about avoiding AI. It’s about learning how to work with it without losing the human part that made great content valuable in the first place.

What It’s Really Like Living with OCPD (Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder) //Season 5 EP. 9//

In this episode of The Checkered Jaguar, I’m opening up about something I’ve only recently come to fully accept: my diagnosis of Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD).

For years, I believed my perfectionism, need for control, and constant overthinking were simply part of who I was. It wasn’t until navigating my autoimmune disease and facing some of life’s biggest challenges that I realized there was something deeper going on.

In this conversation, I’m sharing what OCPD actually is, how it’s different from OCD, the ways it has shaped my relationships, work, and daily life, and why I’ve made the personal decision to begin medication alongside caring for my physical health. As someone also living with an autoimmune disease, I’ve come to understand that healing isn’t just about treating one part of ourselves. It’s about caring for both our mental and physical health with honesty, compassion, and the willingness to accept help.
