Pre-session wardrobe guidance to help take the stress of what to wear off your plate. You can bring up to 3 outfits—even the act of that first wardrobe change gets you more comfortable in front of the camera. And 30-40 mins of photo time just for you where I will be directing you in a variety of poses and expressions to match your audience and brand. There will be moments of deep happiness, but also moments of loss, pain and heartbreak that will feel overwhelming at the time. You will go through things that will test your strength and make you question everything. There will be days when you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. But what you won’t realize in those moments is that every challenge, every tear and every heartbreak is shaping you into the woman you are meant to become. Xan, 43, talented fellow photographer in the Bay Area, flew in for her 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience to both mark this time in her life and create some new headshots to elevate her brand.

Full of s***k and personality, she had this to say when I asked her what her most treasured possession is:

“In addition to my vintage camera collection, I have a pretty robust etiquette book collection, some dating back to the 1800s. I love seeing how cultural shifts morph and how society adapts - it’s fascinating. Another treasure high on my list is a letter from Edna St. Vincent Millay to my great uncle H.T. Webster (whom my son is named after). The entire letter is randomly about serving salmon for luncheon over the course of a few days and is as absurd as it sounds. I have it framed on my wall.”
