Anita and David’s wedding at the Hacienda Linda bed and breakfast in Tucson was a really special one for us!
Amanda and I first stayed at Hacienda Linda in March 2016, to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary and Amanda’s birthday, and also for some healing time following the loss of Amanda’s father. We couldn’t have picked a better place! The owners, Linda and Dan, spoiled us with kindness, warm hospitality, and incredible food. Their pristine six-acre Sonoran desert property is full of wildlife, and sits right on the border of Saguaro National Park. And indoors, Linda and Dan have turned every square inch of their home into a beautiful artist’s canvas.
So when Linda and Dan referred us for their dear friends’ wedding, we jumped at the chance! Anita and David also have a very special connection to Hacienda Linda; they visited in early 2020, just prior to the pandemic. Soon after, travel lockdowns went into place, and their 3-day visit extended into a six-month stay. Along the way they became not just friends but family to Linda and Dan. So it was a natural choice for them to return to Hacienda Linda six years later to get married!
Anita and David exchanged personal vows in the shade of a massive olive tree, with just seven witnesses, including their wonderful officiant, Liz O’Brien, as well as Linda and Dan’s sweet dog, Bella.
We are so grateful to Linda and Dan for welcoming us back to their desert sanctuary, and for letting us be a part of such a meaningful moment!
