These are the thoughts that keep me up at night.
Ok, not really. But you have to admit, this is impressive. And also awesome.
The morale of the story is... be awesome on your wedding day, and your wedding will be awesome. And you'll get awesome pics. And have awesome memories.

Sometimes life takes you right up to the edge of the cliff. Do you look over in wonder and awe? Or do you take a step back?
The key is... who's standing next to you? Holding on to you. Feeling the sun and the wind with you. Taking in the view with you.
That, my friends, is the one thing that can make this adventure a little less scary and a lot more grand.
It's another travel weekend for me, headed to a wedding up north. Solo this time. And it has me thinking about all the people in my life who have stood beside me on those cliffs. Thank you for reveling with me. And for holding on. 💞

I wish I could say that this is as disheveled as I actually look irl rn.🤦🏼‍♀️The real real is that over the last few weeks, showers have become a luxury, my ASU sweatshirt and yoga pants have become a uniform, and the king-sized pillow of popcorn 🍿 from Costco has become my main source of sustenance. Self care what?? Pretty sure my dog thinks my computer screen is an evil being sent to hypnotize me into never having couch cuddles again. 🐶
Friends, to say this is *just* busy season would be laughable at best. For most wedding photographers, this is the busiest season EVER. And it won't be ending any time soon. You may have heard about the current wedding boom, and the whole 1984 thing? Never thought we be doing an actual 80's flashback. Please just don't bring back the haristyles. 🥴😵
But this is not a complaint post! On the contrary, this is a huge THANK YOU!!

Maverick and I are both super stoked for today!
He thinks it's pawesome that his humans are making their pack official. And he's looking forward to the open treat bar, copious amounts of pup cakes, and some sort of tied Knot that must be like the best chew toy ever. 🐶❤️
Me? I get to shoot the 2nd generation of weddings from some of my favorite families! I've had the honor of photographing Tanner's family for over 5 years, starting with his Mom's wedding! It's crazy - and awesome - to think that I've been witness to, and documentarian for, so many precious moments in their lives. Like coming full circle. I freaking love that. 🥰
I feel like I'm about to walk into a room of old friends. Almost like going to a family reunion. Except it won't be *my* crazy uncle on the dance floor. 🕺🤣 Can't. Wait!!

It applies to both your special days AND your every days.
While I was taking this image, there were people in the room who were saying "Don't you cry. No tears!!"
It was all I could do to not stop and ask them to leave. (I didn't. I just quietly motioned to them to Shush!!)
Look, I understand the reasoning. You don't want to mess up your make-up.
Or maybe the people around are uncomfortable with public emotion.
To that, I say... F**k your make-up. It can be redone. And with all due respect, F**k those people. If they love you, they will understand.
But this moment? This ONCE IN A LIFETIME Moment?? It will never be recreated. This Mom will never be putting the veil on her beautiful daughter for the first time at her wedding, ever again.
So shed those tears. And let loose those belly-aching laughs.
FEEL ALL THE FU***NG FEELS.
That's how you know you're alive.
And you only get this one chance, in this one moment. ❤️
