This gorgeous wedding gave me ultimate Beauty and the Beast vibes. Adam and Lilia had a really beautiful color palette, astonishing florals, and beautiful fairytale venue. Dreamy and classic details all around, but I can not get over Adam’s royal blue suit 💙 congratulations to them both on their beautiful day!

My photography isn’t super active on social media, but my workflow very much is. I’ve recently updated a lot of the information on my website and my homepage now links to my full client galleries.

On top of working full time, I average about 10-15 weddings a year, and countless portrait sessions like headshots, seniors, family, and cosplay.

This week I did something I never do, and I entered a photo I created into a photo contest. An image I spent months conceptualizing, I did at least 3 practice shoots for in the past few months, and used a lighting and editing style that took me a very long time to fully comprehend and understand. 
This is a photo style I’d love to start offering clients and I thought this would be a great way to showcase con attendees the new look I’ve been working on. 

 Today, I saw that it didn’t even make the cut to be judged. (Idk who the judges are what they were looking for. I have no idea how my images didn’t stand out to them)

Of course my first reaction was to be heartbroken.. but why? 
I worked so hard on this image, I AM PROUD of this photo. I spent a lot time achieving exactly what I wanted, and I made it come to life. I couldn’t of made it happen without guidance from my good friends and my incredible model . 

I guess what I’m getting at, is, I’m happy I get to finally release this image. It’s a winner in my book, and I believe one of the best and most technical images I’ve ever created. Maybe it looks ordinary to you, I hope you see what makes it great to me. Mastering gel lighting is no easy feat. I surely don’t have it mastered yet, but I’m starting to consider Off Camera flash more of a friendly tool than a technique to be intimidated by. 

I love photography because it allows you to make mistakes and the ability to create the impossible. My goal is to impress myself and my client with each and every shoot. I want to bring to the table an element no other photographer can replicate. 

I hope someday I look back at this moment and laugh at how little is.. But for now, it’s monumental to me. 

Sure I didn’t win, I didn’t even make the cut for my image to be judged. But damn. I love what I created, so here it is for you to enjoy. And let me know if you’re interested in being shot in this type of light.

👀 it’s that time of year again, Saboten Con is only 3 weeks away! Are your Cosplays finished? I’m going to be cosplaying as Sonic and Ryuko Matoi this year! Depending on the day you choose to shoot with me, I may be in cosplay too 😉
I’m offering a deal this year, one shoot for $70 or 2 shoots for $100, and ofc you can split the rate with your friends! Time is best spent doing what you love. I had a blast this past weekend with Schyler Anderson photography and Alex Kennedy on video! We made a great team.

I love my job!! ♥️ All the couples and vendors I’ve worked with are so wonderful and really make me feel like what I do for work isn’t even a job. Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life. 🥰

We’ve all heard that your wedding day is supposed to be about “you” right? Well unless you and your boo are eloping, there’s a high probability that your wedding will include guests. 😜 (stick with me here) Your guests also make up an HUGE part of your day. It’s important to make sure you have a photographer who captures moments of each guest, having fun, dancing, posing with their date, and of course a shot with the happy couple!

That can be a lot to handle…. But having a 2nd shooter makes this possibility a guarantee. It’s like having me in two places at once!! 📷 📷
You can feel relaxed working with me on portraits while knowing everyone back at the reception/cocktail hour is being photographed and no memories are being missed. You get the best of both worlds and little moments that otherwise may of been missed.

When it comes to love.. it’s not always about the grandest displays of affection. Love is the everyday little things, the small details that really tie together the structure of your relationship.
Haha, I’m not out here giving relationship advice, BUT, this is how I like to look at doing wedding details.
Your wedding doesn’t need to prettiest floral arbor at the most posh venue.. Your love story can be told through key sentimental items that when placed together capture an essence of your memorable day. Wether it be a special scent, a ring passed through your family, or even a token from your first date. Little things are always part of a larger picture, and are just as important.

Wether today is your wedding day or not, don’t forget to focus on the little things 😊📸 💚
