On the Cutler Land Preserve Coastal Trail I found a stretch where jagged rocks meet cool teal water and a stand of firs keeps watch. The steady, weathered stone against the gentle movement of the tide felt quietly powerful, and the greens nearby brought everything into balance. I call it Rugged Coastline and it’s now in my online gallery. See it here: https://www.davidcotephotography.com/photos/art_print_products/rugged-coastline. What part of the scene draws you in first?

Thick fog settled over Bass Harbor, leaving the Hannah Pearl to float in a quiet band of light and reflection. I wanted to share it because those calm, pared-back moments feel good to come back to. If you’re thinking about it for a wall, 48x32 or 60x40 works well above a sofa, 36x24 fits above a headboard, and 18x12 or 24x16 suit a hallway or bathroom. Want to see it in your space? I call this "Snow Day." A lighthouse holds its place on snowy cliffs as a pale sky meets the dark Atlantic, and the strong tonal contrast gives the scene a calm, steady feeling. Fences and low buildings add human scale without breaking the hush of falling snow. The monochrome palette draws attention to shape and light, which felt right for that moment. See it in more detail or preview it on your wall here: https://www.davidcotephotography.com/photos/art_print_products/snow-day. Does this one feel calm to you?

Wandering through Philadelphia I came across an abandoned building whose fire escape felt like its own small city of iron and brick. The sepia tones bring out the rhythm of the platforms and the way shadows carve into the facade, giving the whole scene a quiet, worn geometry. I was drawn to that texture and the sense of history in every line. What stories do you think this old structure holds?
