Stand alone photos stop you, but a sequence of images tells a story. When couples come to ask me how I capture documentary photos that feel natural, here’s what I tell them:

1. I leave some space for the moment to breathe when needed.

2. I work alongside amazing photographers(s) as a team during the wedding day to capture all the moments.

3. We plan ahead to ensure a seamless and natural experience.

If you’re looking for a photographer that not only gonna give you amazing photos but also some amazing memories to look back on, we should talk…

Traveling made me a better wedding photographer

Not the kind of traveling where I sip margs and eat tacos on the beach. I’m talking about the kind where you hop on a train with someone you just met and ended up in the Sahara desert.

1ļøāƒ£ It taught me how to connect instantly. When you’re on the road, you learn to build trust with strangers in five minutes because you have to. That helps me walk into a room full of people I’ve never met from your college friends to your grandma and get them to relax and trust me immediately.

2ļøāƒ£ While traveling. Yes it’s important to get a stunning photo of you at the Eiffel tower in Paris, but don’t forget the locals you met and the small moment when you walk thru the streets. On the wedding day, of course the ceremony is important, but also small moments in between the big moments.

at the end of the day, you can get someone to hold a camera and snap a photo. But if you want someone with a unique eye and approach to wedding photography, I do believe in some degree that the person has to live a unique life.

I still have a few spots left in 2026, reach out via on my website contact form for more availability and pricing info. Link in bio.

Hot take: Safe posing can lead to forgettable photos.

Not because it’s bad. Safe posing is beautiful. It’s timeless. It looks great years down the line when you’re flipping through your album.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with classic, clean, normal posing. I also capture these at all my weddings

But for me, it doesn’t always spark creativity. And sometimes it doesn’t feel as unique or emotionally connected to the couple. And I can’t justify charging what I charge now if my photos will look like everyone else.

I like to create something that feels romantic, a little ethereal, a little edgy without going overboard. Something that feels like a mood, a feeling, a moment you can step back into. Not just a pose you’ve seen a hundred times.

Especially for couples who already have great taste and want their photos to feel intentional, elevated, and personal, not cookie cutter.

That said though, safe posing has its place. Truly. There are moments where timeless and simple is exactly what the story needs. And those photos will always age beautifully like fine wine.

Luckily you don’t have to decided between the two. I make sure to grab both timeless photos and also the more unique ones. Couples who hire me trust the creative process. They want something that feels different. Something that feels like them. And that’s where I do my best work.

Hot take: I don’t really use flat lay mats for wedding details.

Not because they’re bad. They’re beautiful. They absolutely elevate a photo.

But they don’t excite my creativity. And they don’t always feel unique to the couple.

I’d rather use the environment we’re actually in. The light in the room. The texture of the venue. The energy of the place you chose to get married. That’s what builds a story that feels real to your day, not something that could belong to anyone.

Especially for destination weddings. If you traveled across the world to get married somewhere meaningful, I want that place woven into your details. Not covered up by a mat.

That said thou, flat lay mats are gorgeous. Truly. No hate here. Some even look better than what is available at the venue

But couples who hire me trust the creative process. They want something personal, intentional, and different. And that’s where I do my best work.
