Stockholm // 3 of 9 // So I have to say, I saw so many dads taking their kids on walks by themselves, or with other dads in a group!! It made me realize how much we see moms with kids and strollers here in the US. In Sweden and Norway, both moms and dads get a year leave, each, when each child is born. It was so awesome seeing the dads so engaged with their kids. I hope that mentality makes its way back here

Stockholm // 2 of 9 // This was the sweetest little coffee shop in the main square of Gamle Stan where my cousins and I spent some time people watching in the square 😍. I also loved the old time photo of the square in the top right corner of this image!
I also was doing this trip with my broken ankle, and we were in Sweden the first couple days. I had gotten a report from my surgeon that fibula was still very much broken a week before leaving. There was no way I was going to miss this trip, so I asked the girls if it would be ok to stop every once and a while, like this, so I could put my ankle up to try to keep the swelling and pain at bay. They were super gracious, and I have to do this about every 4 hours at the beginning of the trip. But I wonder if it didn’t help me slow down and be more observant of the little things and people that surrounded me. I think I “saw” a lot more because of it
