Your wedding photos aren’t just posed photos of you and your partner. They’re also once-in-a lifetime moments with your community.

The candid moments, the reactions, the interactions between family and hometown friends you might have missed, and everything in between … your community came together to celebrate you, and how special is that? ❤️

You’ll want the album you come back to in 20 years when you’re talking about your wedding to show photos like these, I can promise you that.

Ever since I was little, huddled on the couch with my four siblings rewatching The Lion King, I knew that I wanted to be a storyteller.

Growing up in a creative household, I studied a wide range of arts before settling on filmmaking.

I envisioned in my head that I would be the next Spielberg, but after photographing my first wedding back in 2013, all my plans changed and I decided to become an Arizona wedding photographer instead!

From day one, I set out to build a welcoming space for couples of all identities, which at the time was unfortunately not the standard.

My mission as an LGBTQ+ inclusive photographer has always been to create an environment where my couples feel safe, seen, and celebrated. Not in spite of who they are, but because of it.

To all my couples, please know I see you and I’m with you. I’m here to celebrate and document your love in its most authentic form. ♥️

Hot take: family photos should be 30 minutes or less right after the ceremony 👀

I get it. Your niece is getting married, you’re excited, and you want 17 versions of her with every cousin, uncle, and great-aunt in existence.

I hate to break it to you, Uncle Bob, but we’ve got a timeline to manage and those photos are not on my list…for right now.

Before the big day, I sit down with each couple, and we outline their exact family photo list, shot by shot. We decide how many groupings fit in the timeline while the sun is still up, and the order each group will be photographed for maximum efficiency (because let’s be real: the big light in the sky waits for no one)

Once we get to reception, I promise, we can knock out all the extra photos. But you have to realize that here at MPP, I give eldest daughter energy, and the rules are strict. 👏🏾
