This moment took place in the Sir Francis Drake channel, the body of water that separates Tortoia from other islands in the Western Caribbean. The dynamic clouds and the ocean give this photo a sense of movement, but in the moment, far from the rush and bustle of the mainland, the only feeling I had was of overwhelming calm and connection with nature. As the sailboat came around, I found myself coming around to the idea of letting my worries go and being more in tune with the ways the world takes me.

Even a little rain can’t stop the vibrant nightlife in Tokyo, one of my favorite cities in the world. This photo captures the dynamic neon signs and colorful umbrellas that are reflected in the pavement, and are a reminder of an evening in a city that never stops. I can’t wait to go back, as every visit to this city brings new wonders to my attention.

One of my most cherished memories of London are these double decker buses.

Also known as an AEC Routemaster, these vehicles carried me throughout the city on the many occasions I have traveled in London. This picture from Trafalgar Square brings me back to the city, and captures the light and movement of the moment.

This photo always takes me back to tranquil days on Kauai. The simple beauty of a Plumeria tree in bloom against a majestic sky and setting sun begged for a photograph to be taken. You can almost smell the wafts of Plumeria blooms from this photo!

This photo always reminds me of the sweet fragrance of Plumeria (also known as Frangipani) and the gentle breezes of Hawaii. The bushes and trees of Hawaii grow heavy with blooms of these flowers that are then used in leis and many wedding ceremonies.
