what draws me in, every single time, are the moments that happen in the margins of a wedding day.
portraits matter, of course they do, and i love them.
but they’re only one piece of a much bigger story.
the rest lives in what unfolds naturally.
the quiet pause as you step into your reception space for the first time finally seeing it all come together after months of dreaming and work.
glasses clinking as conversations overlap.
catching up with loved ones you don’t see nearly enough.
a quick snapshot with gramps between bites of dinner.
the music humming while life happens all around you.
it’s the good food, the good bev, the laughter, the way time seems to soften for a few hours.
that’s where the day really reveals itself.
those are the moments that make me smile while i’m documenting.
those are the images i love delivering. the ones that feel lived in and honest.
and if i get them on film?
even better.
mirella + david. thank you for trusting me to tell your story.
