this girl. I waited & prayed for a friend like kayla for so long 💛

she’s encouraging, so thoughtful, has checked out like 20 coffee shops with me & pushes me to follow my dreams - so much so that she worked so hard on this crazy podcast idea with me.

we’re moving across the country in 10 days, selling everything and leaving everyone we know. I took this morning to sit and process some emotions. here’s a little piece of my journal entry - I hope my messy coffee shop thoughts inspire you to dream & act big.

“my biggest fear in this life is that I would become stagnant - a prisoner to the normalcy of life. this is a statement to myself that I do not deserve the mundane. this move is a reminder that I hold the reins of my own life. change is scary as f— but it brings new perspective and new experiences. once you break through the fear there is freedom & meaning. every new mile is a new chance to be remolded into a person who is more adaptable, more confident, more open minded and more willing to take a stand against the grain of society. I’m proud of myself & excited for all the growth to come.”

I haven’t always been confident - but I’m learning to be💪🏽

On this week’s episode on the wildly relatable podcast we talk all about confidence - what it is, how to gain it and what to do if you don’t have it. I guarantee that every person has felt a lack of confidence at least once in their lives - and for most it’s a daily battle (ahem, me🙋🏽‍♀️)

One go to way that I gain confidence is through being vulnerable enough with my friends to let them know what I’m going through. If I tell them that I don’t feel confident they are always the first ones to cheer me on & point out the best in me🤍

so freaking stoked for these friends of mine to get hitched tomorrow🎉

it’s not often you can say that two of your best friends are getting married to each other! Cole & Katie truly make each other better - they’re both such loyal friends, the best dance partiers, the most adventurous spirits and so perfect for each other.

I was so honored to capture their proposal last year & am even more honored to stand by their side tomorrow 🤍

when this picture was taken… I was going through one of the hardest times of my life.

when I look back on these moments I remember the loneliness. these pictures might be aesthetic and social media perfect - but what they don’t show is the girl who spent the last three months alone in her apartment depressed.

fall of 2019 I had just graduated college and that life transition was so much harder than I expected. a huge part of my community spread out & I was left feeling unprepared and alone.

these are the things that we don’t talk about & I wish someone would have reached out to me to tell me that it was okay to feel this way & that I wasn’t the only one.

two years of marriage!! this day feels like yesterday and forever ago all at once.

there’s nobody I’d rather go through this life with than you - you balance me perfectly & support all my crazy dreams (like moving across the country in a couple weeks) you’re constant, loving, the best kitchen dance partner, the best adventure buddy & bring so much joy to every mundane moment.

I’m so thankful that you’re my forever & that every year we can look back and celebrate our love🥰
