Came hear Mark Laverman present on photographing and getting stuck on Socotra Island off the coast of Yemen. Known as the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean, 1/3 of its plant life and 90% of its reptiles are endemic to Socotra. It's a great place to visit as long as the airlines don't stop flying due to an attack while you're there! Photos of the gateway city of Abu Dhabi will also be shown. Trinity Cathedral, Sat. Aug 15, 6:30pm 100 W Roosevelt
