This session was two years in the making. The last time I saw my bestie was when she told me she was pregnant with her third and final baby.
On this day, the kids and I loaded up in the car to drive 3 hours one way to rally for a birthday party. I’m known to pack my plate full to the max and that’s just what we did. I hit target the day before and picked up outfits for the kids. Luckily, I had this client closet dress of mine accessible and not in storage. Which made styling a little less stressful.
We went to a birthday party and ran out every ounce of energy the kids had saved up from the car ride that morning. After about 4.5 hrs of play, we rushed back to their house while we quickly got ready (thank goodness for dry shampoo) and then walked down to the lake with six tired but happy kids in tow.
We had about 20 minutes of sunlight before we had to call it a night and drive back another 3 hours. We got home just shy of midnight on a school night and my body was SCREAMING at me by the time we pulled into our house. I carried the kids to bed completely exhausted.
I knew this day was going to be a lot, but I didn’t realize how hard it would be on me physically and mentally. But looking back on these photos of MY people and the memories we created that day, it was totally worth it!! And I’d do it a million times over to see them.
Temecula / Murrieta locals- who would be interested in some mini sessions?! I will definitely make this trip again soon!
