Nicole, what in the world is a fridge photo and why do you call them that?!? I always aim to take around 5-10 photos of you and your partner on your wedding day that I like to call “fridge photos”! These are the photos of you both looking at the camera, smiling, in a classic (or traditional, if you will) posed photo. From experience, these are the photos you often use for thank you cards, your first instagram post, and the ones that your parents and grandparents print out and hang on their fridges for the rest of forever (hence the name). I love a candid shot with lots of movement and interaction between you two, but there’s something so special and simple about a fridge photo that I will never stop doing them!

Last week I was lucky enough to be the one to capture The Brown’s wedding day in McCall, ID! It was a sweet, intimate day with only 20 guests and I had a wonderful, wonderful time witnessing these two tie the knot!

All of these are film photos shot on Portra 400 35mm film and scanned digitally! .camera

Damn near the cutest moment to ever grace my camera lens.

Funny story about Ashley & Dustin’s wedding- when I was shooting their engagement session in Downtown Phoenix, I was making small talk and asking what they did for work, what side of town they lived in, how bad the traffic was for them to get to downtown, and after a little digging we discovered we lived in the same apartment complex in North Scottsdale and had no idea and were bummed that we didn’t know so we could have carpooled to Downtown 😂 All the rest of our planning meetings were in our apartment complex’s common space after that! It really do be a small, small world!!
