? I am drawn to the Southwest and love the desert landscape where I live now.

Photography is an expression of the feelings evoked within as I explore the world around me. Connecting with nature through wildlife and amazing landscapes is exhilarating and inspiring, often taking my breath away. Making photographs is something I dream about continually to the vexation of my family. My mother, always with a camera in hand to record her own journey, is an inspiration to me. I was raised in Minnesota where my family continues to live and I visit frequently. My images are made in these places as well as travel to other areas of the United States and to other countries. I have different artistry series such as the abstract art utilizing Topaz. Some of the images from the abstract series are the same images I have posted using only Lightroom. Should you want to view both, send me an email for the comparison. Photography allows us to be creative along a journey with many divergent paths. Thank you for being a part of my journey! A congregation of great egrets perches on a weathered snag, its tangled limbs forming a lattice of nests above glassy water while one egret arrives in mid-flight, wings fanned and beak open. Small interactions, a tucked head or a ruffled throat, suggest a quiet rhythm of care without being sentimental. I picture it as a calm focal piece for a living room, study, or entryway. A bleached saguaro trunk, the skeleton of a once-living cactus, stands upright against an open sky. It is still standing as a testament to its strength and character. Upright cacti in the midground and small clusters of yellow blooms add quiet rhythm and little points of life among the muted earth tones. I wanted to share it because its calm, steady presence felt grounding today.
