I’ve been a fan of Noah Kahan since BusyHead, but here recently, I’ve been listening to Stick Season-We’ll all be here forever, and it reminded me of who I am at a time when I had lost myself and was becoming a person, an angry one, that I didn’t recognize.
Now that I’ve had the chance to sit with and listen to his new album the song that stuck out to me most was Willing and Able because Cody and I have had some hard times. Mental health battles, on both sides, has wreaked havoc on our relationship. We’ve had a lot of epic fights out here in this garage, some where it felt broken beyond repair. But it’s also the place where we’ve reestablished connection. And so when I heard this song, I thought of this sh*tty, sh*tty garage. And the fights, but more importantly, the willingness, to still come together and try. �I hope I was able to capture just a little bit of that feeling.
