I’ve been dreaming up this shoot for a while now, and honestly it turned out to be even more incredible than I imagined.

I’m so grateful welcomed me into her workspace and that I got to spread the day getting a glimpse of her incredible talent and dedication to her craft.

It feels like the end of the year is barreling down on us, a mere blink away. Part of me is ready. Ready for a break from the busyness and the fresh "everything is possible" feeling that is so palpable with the start of a new cycle.
A more significant part of me wants to hold onto every moment of this year in awe of the generosity and growth it has sent my way. To revel in the fantastic opportunities I had and all the love, beauty, and magic I was able to share and capture.
All this to share, I am so grateful for the year 2022 was, proud of the art I poured my heart into creating, and thankful to all of you who make it possible. ✨

Sending off galleries feels like sending off a piece of my heart.
It’s such an honor to document these moments- whether it’s weddings, family photos, or brand work- but the session is only a step in a photographers process.

By the time I deliver your photos, I have poured hours of creativity, love and attention into ensuring each image reaches it’s “final form” so to speak.

I hold my breath every time I hit that send button, hoping that these images, representing the moments most important to you, are received with as much joy and love as has been poured into their creation.

Endlessly thankful for these experiences, and for all of you.

Are you team B&W or Color?

If you’ve been around here for a bit I’m sure you know what I sucker I am for a good black and white photo. Some may think it’s personal preference, but I believe getting rid of some of the distractions of color in an image allows the viewer to better focus on the subject and the emotions present.

That said, color is equally useful in telling a story, it can set the tone of the image, or even amplify a subjects bubbly/ colorful personality.

I can’t say it feels like fall when we’re still reaching mid 90’s in the valley, but there’s definitely something in the air.

Maybe it’s the excitement of going into busy season, getting to photograph awesome people and working with a community I love. When I step back to look at all these special moments I’ve been witness to, it really is amazing. I am feeling so pumped for what the rest of 2022 has in store! ✨
