This is the portrait of the fisherman in my previous post.

They shared their names with me, though i can not remember them. What they shared that i do remember was their kindness towards a couple of curious travelers. They told us the history of the area and how the fish populations had declined. They shared with us how the fish they had caught, would be prepared into a soup to be shared with their families at dinner. They appreciated our interest for their home. We spoke for a while. They asked me to take their picture. We said goodbye and that was that.

It's been a while since i've posted anything on here so might as well come back with a bang. As some of you already know i recently spent a couple months exploring the farthest corners of Nicaragua in hopes of building out my portfolio further and learning more about my Nicaraguan heritage. Along that journey i took a spontaneous trip the the island of Ometepe, a volcanic island situated in the middle of Lake Nicaragua that is home to some of the most stunning scenery found in the country.

After a day of hitchhiking around the island we stumbled across these fisherman casting their nets into the reflection of Volcan Concepcion in search of dinner. A scene i'm sure won't be forgotten any time soon and my favorite photo to date.

Drove up to Fort Pierce to catch some swell and test out the new Outex case which worked a lot better then i expected to say the least!
