Lying here in this hospital bed for over 10 days now has given me an appreciation for my health. Many of the people on this floor who also have cancer, cannot travel let alone even leave the hospital by themselves. I’m thankful for my health. I get out tomorrow, and that’s when a new start begins. I don’t know why I’m thinking about this tonight, but there are so many pieces of jewelry that i have gotten in the past, nothing like heirloom expensive, but you know, nice Tiffany, Pandora and other pieces that I’ve saved for special occasions... why?! I just let it all sit in their boxes and never wear! Ok, I’m not doing that when I get out of here. I’m wearing it all and going to appreciate what I have. Because as we all know, tomorrow is not a definite. Live like you want to live now, wear those earrings, wear that dress, those shoes... make the most of everything, put on some lipstick and smile when you don’t feel like it... and love the hell out of the people in your life each and every day.

Gorgeous blue eyed Icelandic horse... they were all so friendly, they came right over to get their pets. They would even stuck their heads in your cars! They would even stick their head into cars!

Disappointed that I won’t be able to go to Lofoten islands on Monday, but I will get there another time. You have to do what is best for you, for your health, listen to your body and most importantly be your own advocate! Because no one else is gonna do it for you. Ask questions, make notes when doctors talk, wrote down your questions as they come to you... Do not just follow orders and go home. Please make sure you stick up for yourself if you know something isn’t right!

Just looking back on some photos as I sit here, unable to sleep because I’m on steroids! 😫 I’m angry and hungry but they are helping my head pain. I can’t remember the exact location of these ruins, but if anyone remembers can you let me know? Morocco was a country that blew me away, I never had any desire to go there but when I did go, I was not disappointed! I went when it was cooler, good lord it’s way too hot to go in the summertime. Just look at that sky... and the green grass. I think I like this photo because of all the texture in the ruins as well. Have you been to Morocco yet?

Well... this weekend has been packed with some bad news. Brain Mets. My ovarian cancer has now entered into my brain. I’ve been pretty good about it, but do you know why? A lot of it comes from the support and outpouring of love from others that know exactly what I am going through. Facebook and Instagram aren’t just for posting your best life’s moments... they are also for making beautiful friendships around the world! What would one do without the support and love of others that know what they are going through when Cancer comes calling. If you find yourself sad and lonely and feel like no one understands, I can almost guarantee you, there will be a group for your interest or for whatever it is that you are going through, on social media. Join those groups and start chatting, in no time you will make friendships that you never knew you could form... Something about going through tragedies together brings you close. And then, even when you are physically alone, you are never ever really *alone* as long as you have a cell phone! 🥰 That’s what gets me through the hard times without having a supportive family close by. •

A photo from my recent trip to New Zealand... These used to be “blue” lakes when the glaciers filled them with their water, but now they are “green” from the algae that grow in these lakes that are now solely filled with rain water. Human caused climate change / global warming... it’s a huge problem. People say they feel helpless concerning the wildfires in Australia and I understand feeling that way... I mean, besides donating, what else can we do if we don’t live there? Thoughts and prayers aren’t gonna cut it. We really have to try to do better at erasing our own environmental footprint. What small change can you do, effective today, to do your share in eliminating human caused climate change?
