When we are young, our parents guide the path we walk, but only until a certain point. As we grow, they let us loose on the world little by little. That is where we begin to choose our own path. However, we are too exploratory with all the things we can do now that we have the independence to do what we want, what takes hold of our interest. We are much too busy discovering to think about the greater destination. For some of us, that realization doesn't come until later in life. When it does come, we can look back at where we have been and decide if this route is the right one for us to continue down. As we grow, we evolve, we change. What we wanted as kids for when we became adults, is not what we want now. I now know that having a slide from the bedroom to the living room is just not going to work. The good news is that, now that we are adults, we have the wisdom to decide which route to take next, and we have the power to make it happen. Which route are YOU focused on taking today?
