Here are the 5 most common listing photo mistakes we see — and exactly how to fix them:

1️⃣ Dark rooms — closed blinds and no lighting kill the mood instantly. Open everything, turn on every light, and supplement with off-camera flash.

2️⃣ Wide-angle distortion — stretching rooms to look bigger backfires when buyers walk in and feel misled. Use a moderate wide angle and let the space speak honestly.

3️⃣ Clutter in frame — a single item out of place draws the eye away from the room. Stage thoroughly before the photographer arrives.

4️⃣ Shooting from standing height — dropping to 4–5 feet creates a more flattering, editorial perspective that feels polished and professional.
