My images from the NAS JAX Airshow ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Always a privilege to witness these skilled airmen doing what they love. The roar of the engines and the sound of freedom never get old!

Last week, I had the honor of coordinating and executing a ribbon-cutting ceremony that was two months in the making! 🎀✨

A huge thank you to the 15 incredible donors, sponsors, and contributors who helped bring this event to life and believe in the mission of Wings of Grace Ministries. Your support makes a lasting impact in our community, and I’m grateful to have been part of bringing this vision together!

My name is Harlen Valentine and I am applying to this scholarship to help accomplish my goals of getting my PPL 🤍

This is my only and last chance to apply being 25 years old and though I am one of the oldest applicants, my spirit is strong-willed.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story, especially its transition to working in the industry I love so much!

One of my favorite parts of working in marketing is bringing creativity into the real world.

From designing on my computer to seeing my work printed, shared, and experienced within the community, there’s something incredibly rewarding about watching an idea become tangible.

As an artist and creative, that process never gets old. ✨

On behalf of the Brunswick Fire Department and the Exchange Club of Brunswick, it was an honor to photograph the Memorial Stair Climb.

The Stair Climb not only honors the fallen of 9/11, but also the 343 firefighters that also lost their lives in the line of duty.

They played the chronological radio calls starting at the 8:46am, continuing throughout the entire climb. It was incredibly heartbreaking hearing their disbelief, fear, anger and weary hope.

Six months of planning, preparation, problem solving, and learning all came together last month when the Wings of Grace Conference finally became a reality.

This was my first time planning a conference from start to finish, and I had the opportunity to be involved in every part of the process. From developing the sessions and coordinating speakers, to organizing the schedule, creating promotional materials, capturing the event through photography, and putting together our end-of-year newsletter, there were countless moving pieces behind the scenes.

Seeing months of work turn into a room full of people learning, connecting, and growing was an incredible feeling.

I learned so much throughout this process, and I am incredibly grateful for everyone who trusted me with the opportunity and helped make the vision a reality.

I am proud of how far this project came and excited to take everything I learned into the next one.

I had the privilege of taking pictures for Sam Ghioto’s opening night of ‘A Thousand Rivulets Run’ at SoGlo Theatre.

The film was a deeply transparent story of how grief moves us, shapes us and pushes us into new versions of ourselves. As I just moved to Brunswick, it gave me an even deeper appreciation of the Golden Isles.

I also captured the local psychedelic, rock band, - The Maple Street Band - which was awesome!

Always a fun time at SoGlo, and extremely excited for more unique events. 🩷

After a fun road trip to Clarksville, Tennessee, I had the absolute privilege of capturing this beautiful and intimate wedding. 🦋💍

There’s something so special about witnessing two people promise forever to one another, and getting to preserve those little moments, emotions, and memories along the way. 🤍

So grateful I got to be part of their day!

It’s been a long time since I created a conceptual set of photographs. When I first moved to Georgia I felt like a my creative spark became dull, especially going to a very small, and close-minded town. I wasn’t around alternative-creative minded people and so I felt really artistically isolated. It wasnt until this year, and my move, that felt like regardless of that, I should continue to create art because it is a part of me. Here is this gothic collection of photographs as a funeral to my past, and revival of my creative beginnings.

My trip was incredibly eye-opening, informative and a gift.

I’m very thankful to have gone on this journey and capture so much of the beautiful world around us. We may not live in the Bahamas but always remember where you live is its own gift, if you’re paying attention.

Quote of the day: “The paradise of the rich is made out of the hell of the poor.” - always stay humble, grateful, and help those in need!
