One of these things is not like the other…

SPOILER ALERT: I’m the thing that’s not like the others here. I say that because pictured here is 3 of the best wedding photographers in the world ( , , ) and me. The fact that I was even in this room with truly some of the best working photographers in the world and a top-shelf open bar to boot, was worth traveling to in Vegas alone. Thank you Mario and & Ant for convincing me to go, and thank you to Jose for extending the personal invite. This picture now hangs on my wall and will never be forgotten.

“Vegas has a way of making everyone feel like the main character in a Tarantino Film for a minute.”

I hate being in front of the camera.

But every now and then a talented friend reminds you why photographers do what they do.

Last night at a cigar lounge inside , of quietly snapped this while I was mid-cigar.

And somehow… he made me look cooler than I actually am.

That’s the magic of a great photographer.
They show you the version of yourself the world already sees and your insecurities try to hide.

I sat in on a posing talk with today at the booth on the final day of , and it was easily one of the most valuable 30 minutes of the week.
The entire talk was packed with posing techniques that were immediately actionable — the kind of information you can walk away and use in your very next shoot.

Jerry also has a level of stage presence and charisma that keeps the room locked in the whole time.

Bonus: he complimented my hair, so I may be slightly biased.

On my second day of my first attended a photo walk with and . During this photo walk I got to meet and shoot with the very talented and beautiful . I decided to shoot her with my 14mm because I had a feeling nobody else on the photo walk was going to shoot her this wide and I wanted my shots to be different. I achieved my goal.

I also snapped a few BTS shots of demonstrating lighting techniques with her.
