Awesome day at work! While photographing maple tree tapping I got the chance to tap the last tree at a historic location, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church! It is believed to be a station on the underground railroad. Abolitionist in the area, including ones that are buried in this graveyard, would tap maple trees for sugar rather than use sugarcane that was the product of slave labor.
