One early evening last spring during my week in Salt Wells Creek I spotted this black-tailed jackrabbit and stopped to photograph her. She was the chillest bun I've ever met, at least until I had that session with the very attention-demanding desert cottontail in Arizona last month. Anyways this jackrabbit sat and looked at me, chewed on grass, looked at me more, and finally after 15 minutes and probably literally 200 frames, I had to make myself leave so as not to have three thousand of the same rabbit images, and to let her return to her grazing.
