Spent some time in the studio last night with my friends in Smooch who are recording their first album. One of my favorite places to shoot is in the studio, being a musician I know how much of a place for capturing emotion it is and images add a new level to that. Very excited my prints from 2 weeks worth of film in Pennsylvania are developed and scanned. This is the first of a 26-part series I shot in the post-industrial cities in Eastern PA of Easton and Bethlehem. Very happy with how they came out.

As the summer season dies down and my favorite time of year moves in, my work schedule will be slowing down a little which means I'll be shooting a lot more and going many more new places to do so hopefully. In March of 2016 I went to Hungary as part of a class studying falling regimes and social justice issues, and coincidentally I was there during a refugee crisis. While convenient for the academic material, there was actually also a chance to hear from immigrants to Hungary from other places, and some of their stories were incredible, some heartbreaking, but one common theme: they all simply wanted a better life, for them and especially their children. I write this morning to call on everyone to not only condemn what's going on in the States, but also call your senators and , because we're all immigrants, one way or another.
