But what if my baby doesn't sleep or cries the whole time?
The #1 worry every new mama has before their newborn session.
If you are currently pregnant or sitting on the couch with a brand-new baby, planning a portrait session can feel a little daunting. You’re likely thinking, “My baby is unpredictable. What if they cry, need to blow out a diaper, or refuse to sleep for those curly studio poses?”
Take a deep, relaxed breath. I expect them to.
How We Handle the Newborn Unpredictability:
We follow baby's lead: A newborn session is never rushed. We set aside up to three full hours in the studio schedule. This leaves plenty of open, stress-free time for nursing, diaper changes, and extra soothing whenever your baby needs it.
The "Baby Whisperer" Environment: Our studio is meticulously prepped before you even arrive. We keep the room at a perfectly cozy, warm temperature and play soft white noise to mimic the comfort of the womb, helping your sweet baby drift into a deep, peaceful sleep.
Awake shots are beautiful, too: If your baby decides they want to stay awake and stretch, we don't panic! Some of the most breathtaking, soulful portraits we capture feature wide-open eyes, tiny yawns, and curious stretches.
You Just Show Up and Relax ✨
You don't need to worry about being a perfect director or keeping your baby on a strict schedule. My job is to handle the settling, the gentle posing, and the safety transitions while you sit back, sip a warm coffee, and watch your miracle be completely pampered.
Your only job is to soak in the moment. We have the rest entirely covered.
