Somehow we’ve reached the end of August, which feels slightly rude considering I swear summer just started. 😂

Six years ago at this time, I officially started doing this professionally. SIX. And when I really stop and think about everything that has happened since then, it’s kind of wild. So many families photographed, so many seasons of life, so much learning, changing, growing, and figuring things out as I went.

I don’t know what the rest of this year has waiting for me, but I’m trying to slow down enough to actually enjoy it instead of constantly wondering where the time went. Hoping the next few months bring you some really good things too. And if they don’t all go according to plan, I hope there’s still something beautiful waiting for you on the other side. 🤍

Your style isn’t something you need to find. It’s something you build by trusting what already pulls you in.

We can spend so much time learning the “right” way to photograph or how we are supposed to run our sessions that we forget to pay attention to what we actually love.

Look at the images you keep coming back to. The ones that make you feel something.

There’s a reason you took them. 🖤

Getting to photograph a family again is the BEST! Especially when we get to go to a place that already means so much to them. This beach is part of their summer tradition, and I loved getting to tell a little more of their story here. Way too many favorites to count!! 🌊☀️🍦

Not every family story needs a pretty field and everyone looking at the camera. 😉

Sometimes the best memories happen when we let kids be kids. When they can run, explore, and show off the things that make them, them. For this crew, it was the skate park and all the personality that came with it. 🛹⚡️

I love when families choose a location that already holds a piece of their story. A place where their kids feel comfortable and where they like to spend their time. Those are the memories that feel the most meaningful to look back on. ✨
