Aperture Agency is a student run photography agency and club dedicated to getting student work out into the public eye. Based out of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, we offer photo and video services for affordable prices. Hiya! 👋 Wissahickon Park is one of the most beautiful and naturally pristine areas in Philly! 🌳 Full of dramatic rivers, waterfalls, crags, and hidden statues, it’s a perfect place to take photos!

This Saturday the 18th we’ll be meeting at the Ten Box in Wissahickon Park around 1:20pm. You can find it using your maps app.

Anyone deciding to take the regional rail— it leaves at 12:18pm from Temple Train Station on Saturday. Please feel free to meet up beforehand with others at the Bell Tower at 11:45am. You will need a SEPTA Key Card or a paper ticket available at the kiosk in the station.

If you’re driving— there is parking near the Ten Box at Historic Rittenhouse Town.

For the return— please feel free to arrange car pools or Ubers with friends, or use public transport, preferably the regional rail.

Happy Wednesday! 📸
Aperture Agency's Exposure Photo Gallery will be taking place Monday April 25 from 10:30AM to 1:30PM.
This is a great opportunity to connect with other Aperture members!

‼️You must bring ONE of your own photographs with an accompanying artist statement to hang in the display in Annenberg Hall's lobby.

You are required to print out your own photo! Printing can be done at the Tech Center.

Set up at Annenberg Hall is promptly at 10AM and clean up begins by 2PM.

If you are unable to make the event, we MUST have AT LEAST 3 days notice! Let us know in SLACK if you plan to attend ASAP

Hi everyone!! In honor of Apertures photo contest this semester (deadline 5/1), take a look at some of the submissions from the fall 2021 contest!

Had a great turn out last year, hoping for even more submissions!!

Some reminders:
- all temple students can participate
- theme: ENERGY
- phote must be submitted from a temple email to [email protected] with title "Spring 2022 Contest Submission"
- MUST INCLUDE ARTIST STATEMENT! Feel free to title your photo as well 🤩
- $50 first place prize!

For our meeting this monday 3/28 at 5pm we will be having a portrait shoot day at the student center in room 217D 📸

Very excited for this! Bring your cameras and yourselves 🤩
We'll be going over some techniques on portrait photography, and putting them into practice together!

More exciting news for this coming week, we have our second guest speaker this Monday 3/21 at 5pm‼️‼️
Temple alum Margo Reed will be joining us and speaking on her experiences as success in the photo industry!! 📸📸

Margo Reed is a Pennsylvania-based documentary and portrait photographer whose work explores using trust as a tool.
She received her BA in Journalism from Temple in 2018. Her work has been published in the Associated Press, CNN, New York Times, NPPA Magazine and People, & more!!
