🎬 FORGOTTEN ISLAND — 7.5/10 ⭐️

Someone seen my message calling all who were interested in this movie to come out and MISS RICE from Philly fashion week and much more was in the building.

Forgotten Island is hilarious, chaotic, all over the place, and absolutely eye-popping with color! 😂🌈 And honestly, I wouldn’t expect anything less from DreamWorks.

The humor reminded me of a mix between Shrek and SpongeBob SquarePants. You’ve got the silly kid humor, fart jokes, ni**le jokes 😂, and plenty of jokes that are clearly thrown in there for the adults. There’s even a moment that immediately made me think of Will Smith 👀😂 — I’m not spoiling that one!

But underneath all that craziness is actually a really good story about friendship.

H.E.R. voices Jo alongside Liza Soberano as Raissa, two best friends who have been together since grade school and are now facing the possibility of going down separate paths. One of my favorite parts is their charm bracelet, where the charms represent memories and adventures they’ve shared together. That little detail really helped tie the emotional side of the movie together for me. ❤️

The movie does have a few slower moments, and some of the adult humor might have parents looking over at their kids like… 😳😂. If this were strictly an adult animated comedy, some of those jokes probably wouldn’t bother me at all. But knowing families and younger kids will be watching is part of why I landed at a 7.5/10.

Still, this is definitely worth a family watch. It’s colorful, funny, weird, heartfelt, and underneath all the madness, it has a great message about how important real friendships and the memories we make together can be.

‘Resident Evil 2026’ gets an 8.5 out of 10 from me. This might be the closest I’ve felt to actually playing Resident Evil while watching a Resident Evil movie. You’re hunting for ammo, finding keys, moving level to level, tons of little nods to the games. The lead feels like a regular dude who just got dropped into a nightmare. Quirky, funny without trying, just scared. And man, the creatures! That’s full body horror. Hands, feet, mouths, eyes. It gave me The Thing vibes. The jump scares got me. Like, jumping, spilling popcorn got me. And I was never bored. It’s funny, gory, kept me guessing. It’s not perfect. A couple of choices had me going, why would you do that? *****NO SPOILERS ****** 🎬🕷️ Spider-Man: Brand New Day is exactly the kind of Marvel movie I've been waiting for.

It strikes the perfect balance—not too comic book-ish, not overly silly—just a well-crafted superhero film with heart, action, and emotion.

The chemistry between Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Punisher absolutely steals the show. Their dynamic feels like a hopeful little brother constantly pushing against the hardened, battle-scarred big brother. Their banter is funny, authentic, and becomes one of the movie's biggest strengths.

The action doesn't let up. From the intense tank chase, to the brutal battles with The Hand, Hulk, and one hidden villain I'm definitely not spoiling... every fight feels earned and keeps raising the stakes.

One thing Marvel continues to do so well is making you understand its villains. As their story unfolds, you don't just see someone to defeat—you begin to understand their pain. That emotional depth gives the movie even more weight.

The Bruce Banner/Hulk moments add another layer that longtime Marvel fans will really appreciate, and the romance throughout the film genuinely comes through the screen without ever slowing the pace.

At 2 hours and 25 minutes, the movie flies by. You'll laugh, you'll cheer, and you'll definitely feel the emotional moments.

I'm holding off on giving it a final score until I see it a second time, but I can already say this: Spider-Man: Brand New Day is one of Marvel's strongest recent entries.

🕸️ Catch it in theaters July 30. Trust me... this is one you'll want to experience on the big screen. 🍿

So after watching 5.5/10 I didnt hate it and I would recommend anyone to at least give it a chance.
