This upcoming year will be my ninth year as a diabetic, and for the first time since my diagnosis, I've decided to talk about it.

I've hidden my diabetes from nearly every person I've had a personal relationship with. Until recently, I never talked about my struggles inside T1-- instead just tried to power through. I am happy to announce I've decided to start being a bit more open with my life as a diabetic. For the past year, I have been trying to figure out a way to visualize my experience with Type 1-- and thus, I created this.

Throwing it back to one of my favorite shoots I did for the Choreography students at Rowan University. Photographing movement is always a favorite of mine because it creates such depth to the photos. These women were incredibly talented and had such a vision-- I was happy to jump in and bring it to life for them!

This Sunday morning I'm taking a look back at a gender reveal I got the opportunity to shoot back in the summer.
