Just an appreciation post for all the models that sacrifice their comfort in the cold weather to get 👏🏼the 👏🏼 shot 👏🏼 ! It was about 25 degrees when we did this session and looked flawless.

Fun tips for shooting in the cold:

- Jacket breaks ! Check in with the model to make sure they are comfortable or if they need to take a break and warm up!

-Keep your car near by to hop into and blast the heat when models or photographers need a break. This was so helpful for this shoot.

- Hand warmers . Something I wish I brought because after 10-15 my hands were frozen and changing my settings became mission impossible.

- Footwear : If you are planning to shoot in the snow, having the model come in winter boots or warm shoes even if the change midway through just so they can get to the location safely ! Don’t wear sneakers like I did 🤦🏼‍♀️

- Come with a plan ! Bring pictures or a mood board to show your model shots that are your priority to capture. This will help you in the cold for less and leaving happy with the shots you got.

And of course ... Have fun and don’t push your limits!

For all photographers in Philly this location is a must ! I have done countless sessions here and each time I leave with some wonderful shots. Tons of colorful graffiti art and incredible energy. Highly recommend checking out this spot . It is one you won’t forget!
