Met up with Morgan for this awesome session in Chicago! I had never taken her photos before and I had never been in Chicago before so this was a sessions of firsts haha. Morgan was fantastic and there are endless places to take photos in Chicago. I had so much fun with Morgan and her family and I love the photos we got! Huge shoutout to my friend Matthew E Ames for setting this up and letting me ride with him into the city. My first time in a self driving Tesla! I met Matt in St. Louis earlier this year and he has became one of my best photographer friends so it was nice to reconnect with him. We are known as Matt 1 and Matt 2 in St. Louis lol. Just an awesome time all around!!! Super excited about these! MoLight

Over the weekend I hosted a workshop in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. We had such an awesome group of photographers and models! We started at a local park from so nature looks, then headed into downtown Milwaukee to black cat alley for a more urban vibe, and then we finished up with some indoor sports at the local middle school gym! It was an absolute blast even though we were all pretty exhausted after each day! Finally found time to sit and edit and I’m really excited to get to share some of the images! I think we got a lot of really cool looks! Again, thank you to everyone that attended! And to everyone else, I’ll see you at the next one!!!

I’m so excited about this picture that I just had to go ahead and post it! I made a quick pit stop in Chicago yesterday to do a session with my friend Matt that I met in St Louis earlier this year. Morgan, our awesome model for the evening stood in for this crazy reflection shot that I wanted to try of her and the Chicago skyline! It’s far from a traditional portrait but I just absolutely love it so much. It’s so different and fun! AND that is a real reflection! Not AI!!! There was a small table type thing there and it was a little wet from a rain that had just passed through and that made it insanely reflective! I can’t stop looking at it! Well, my time in Wisconsin has come to an end. Had the absolute best time teaching an awesome group of photographers for the last few days in Milwaukee. We had so much fun and got some excellent images in the process. I’m so thankful for everyone that signed up and joined me for the fun and I hope everyone had an excellent time and I can’t wait until our paths crossing again. You all did so awesome and I’m so excited to see what you create going forward! Special thanks to my friend Amanda for helping organize this event and making sure everything went as smooth as it possibly could go and for doing everything that you did behind the scenes ! I couldn’t have done this without all your help. And to our host photographer, Megan thank you so much for opening up your studio to us and allowing us to use your space for all the fun! And to Nate for coming and providing the muscle bugging around all the equipment, lol. Huge, thank you to our sponsors at McKenna and Molight!!! And also a massive thank you to our models, Becca, Sami, Emeryson, Ella, Mia, Gabby, and Aiden. You all were absolutely amazing!!! Our first shooting day of the workshop yesterday was so much fun! We started in a quiet park with some nice nature areas and then made our way into downtown Milwaukee for a more urban vibe and I think we got some really awesome shots! I’m excited to post some edited photos once I find time to edit them haha. Until then, here are some behind the scenes shots! Also our buddy Michael for MoLight joined us yesterday to offer his amazing knowledge on all things godox and we loved having him with us! Day two starts soon and I can’t wait!

I left early this morning to head to Wisconsin to teach a photography workshop. My daughter snuck in my room at around 3:45 and tried to sneak out before anyone saw her but I woke up and asked her what she was doing. She said “just giving you a gift that I made you for your trip”. I asked “what is it?” She said “it’s a paper computer to help you with your editing”. She is just so sweet and so thoughtful and I love this so dang much.
