Engagement sessions are supposed to be romantic.
Soft touches. Sweet kisses. Flirty little glances. Maybe a casual ass grab if we’re really feeling the love.
Enter: Emelee & Dominic...
Two people who absolutely love each other and also apparently believe public displays of affection should be handled privately, behind closed doors, with the curtains drawn. 😂
Unfortunately for them, they hired me.
And while I’m not an instant bestie, calm down, boundaries… once I warm up, I WILL absolutely be all up in your grill saying things like:
“Okay, kiss her.”
“Again.”
“Closer.”
“Dom, put your hand on her.”
“No, like you actually LIKE her.”
“Em, stop looking like I’ve asked you to commit a felony.” 😂
So basically, I spent the evening putting them into what the rest of us would consider completely normal engagement-session poses, while Em and Dom experienced what I can only assume was the emotional equivalent of being waterboarded with affection.
And THEN I thought… You know what would make this even better?
AN AUDIENCE.
So naturally, I made them climb down a pile of rocks at a local park, balance precariously beside a creek, and MAKE OUT while random people exercised approximately 14 feet away.
Nothing says romance quite like trying not to break an ankle while a stranger power-walks past watching you kiss your fiancé. 💀
But THEY DID IT.
Like absolute rockstars.
And because apparently I hadn’t tortured them enough, I also had them twirling, dancing, laughing, cuddling and FLIRTING so aggressively it probably would’ve made Emelee’s mother blush. (Hey Michele!!!)
By the end of the night I’m pretty sure these two had displayed more public affection in 90 minutes than they had in the entirety of their relationship...
AND FOR WHAT?! Oh, just THESE DAMN PHOTOS. 🔥🔥🔥
Because apparently awkwardness + forced public affection + creek rocks + my inability to leave people alone = 100/100 engagement photos.
Em & Dom, you survived... and thank you for entertaining all my ideas!
And unfortunately, there’s still a wedding coming. 📸😂
