Sonoma turned into a car control clinic last weekend — or was it a lake? — but my new R3 performed admirably. So did (most of!) the drivers 😆 the first batch of edits will go out this evening after I put my S52 back together. Thanks for everyone who braved the weather to get some laps in and ordered photos already 🧡

This Individual Nardo Gray F80 M3 ends tomorrow on auctions — link in bio. Take $24k in options including the Competition Pack, Executive Pack, and paint for a total sticker price of $89k, add nearly $40k in modifications, and then you have the M3. Modified with Clubsport coilovers, an big-brake kit, wheels, carbon fiber trim and aero, a M Performance titanium exhaust, and much more covered in the listing, the car is incredibly poised for such a stately machine. The twin-turbocharged engine itself has been left in stock trim and is paired with a seven-speed DCT. The car has covered just 15k miles during the past five years. It has never seen the track and comes with a clean Carfax and clean California title as well as its removed brakes, struts/suspension, steering wheel, and more, plus a set of 19" HRE wheels with Michelin PS4S tires. Finally a project update on Speedhunters (swipe to the end for an amazing surprise guest!) — covered a lot of ground here over the past couple years of ownership, though most of that time was just spent enjoying the car and taking care of some small odds and ends rather than any major items. That's finally changing, and I have some more substantial updates coming to the site soon. Will I keep the 18s? Will I get real suspension? Will I just boy more wheels? Will I replace the cracked windshield? Can I find tires? Who knows, not me

It's pretty cool to see all these Supras getting pushed at the track. And he actually did not exceed track limits here despite being pointed at the grass 😂 I'm really enjoying shooting out there again, and appreciate the support from all you swell drivers. Thanks for having me 💕

Euro headlights are the way to go. Also put .mu Club Racer pads on the car after melting my EBC yellows at Laguna 😂 they were great for the street though. Suspension soon, whenever more parts from Germany and back-ordered items arrive. Thanks for sending me these Hella glass headlights and German-spec corners 🇩🇪🏁🚀

Finally got the M3 out on track! 560 treadwear tires, a stock seat, a squishy suspension, and rubbing fenders don't exactly inspire a ton of confidence behind the large factory steering wheel, but those things will be addressed. Actually, I have to say I was impressed how good those tires felt for an all-season with probably 20k+ miles on them. Mostly we need a driver mod anyway, but at least said I went sub-2. Thanks Erick for helping me with the lines and driving my car so I could get these shots!

Brought the M3 to in Fremont for a cooling overhaul with a all-aluminum radiator, Stewart Components water pump, and all new hoses, belts, and pulleys. I love how plug-and-play these CSF radiators are, but this still wasn't a job I wanted to tackle myself. I wasn't actually having any cooling issues beforehand, though I plan to get the car on track where weaknesses in these old parts would definitely be found over time and cause a much bigger headache when they failed. Plus, it's always rad seeing what Trackspec is working on in the shop. Time to start hoarding suspension parts for what should be a slightly more exciting project for me soon 🏁

Getting a ride with was quite a nice side effect of shooting the 2.2 feature for earlier this year. What I didn't know at the time was that Patrick Long would be retiring from full-time racing as a factory Porsche driver, a role in which he won 50+ races and six major titles over two decades. This — coupled with the fact that Patrick was the only American driver to hold this distinction for — made the ride all that more special in retrospect. I really had no clue that a 50-year-old car with a little 2.2-liter mill could ever move so quickly up and down a mountain, and yet it was clear that Patrick was more than comfortable and hardly working. I'm grateful for the experience, and best of luck in your future ventures, Patrick #911
