Saturday was an absolute awesome day. After 2 months of training for our half marathon in September, we signed up for our first Ultra Race. Cause why not?! Lets really test ourselves. So lets sign up for a Ragnar Relay Solo 6 hour Ultra.
Friday we made thr drive to Ohio. Made sure to eat well and hydrate, ALOT. We worked our tail off to prepare for this race. We did forget one really important thing though. OHIO HAS HILLS. Its not flat like Michigan. The goal was minimum 18 miles. We thought that might be a little high, but why not. When we saw all the hills, we weren't sure if 18 was going to be possible.
After 5 1/2 hours of running, we hit the 18 mile mark. It was an absolute smoker though! But we had so much fun, we cant wait to do another one. I dont think either one of us had been physically tested like that in many years. 100% worth it though.
