This little girl and her mom are so sweet. These photos are from last summer. I thought of them today when it is so frigid in Iowa. I figure a little video of them can put some sunshine in our day and remind us of warmer days around the corner [sort of]!

My senior picture proofs. Oh, my … one sweater, one backdrop, and I’m not looking straight at the camera in a single one! We each got to choose one pose for prints. The one my parents and I chose was bottom middle. For the rest of the story about that day: On picture day our whole class got out of school for a bus ride to Storm Lake to the photography studio. We got to run around Storm Lake all day except for our scheduled photo time. Two of my classmates and I didn’t hear the time to report back to the bus at the end of the day, so we got back to the bus late and everyone else was waiting for us. The three of us got detention for being tardy to the bus. It was my only detention throughout my four high school years!

I’m pretty sure I shop more for photography items than most anything else. This time a stool perfect for headshots. Great for when standing/leaning/sitting.

Hilliary wanted a couple updated headshots for her new role as a nurse practitioner. Mission accomplished! This is a non-traditional crop that I really like. She also received digital files with more traditional crops.
