Exploring new film stocks has been fun and slightly scary. When the news came about Fuji 400 being discontinued I honestly wasn’t that sad. I love portra 800. I’ve been shooting it for awhile now and it’s one of my faves. But as I’ve started to try other portra stocks I will admit I have struggled.
Not getting those minty tones I’ve come to love from Fuji has been hard. This photo was shot on portra 160.
The tones are still beautiful but a different look than I’m used to.
But pushing myself to learn something new and work with it has been a fun challenge.
As someone who’s been shooting film for now almost 6 years it’s nice to know that the learning never ends.
We all can continue to grow. It’s always in the uncomfortable places where we grow the most. ***ir ***ir ***irphotographer ***irphotographer ***ir
