Did you know that today is National Mental Health Day?
Although many may think I have it all together, I’m here to tell you I do not.
There is still such a stigma when it comes to mental health but I am here to shed light on my own struggles as I have before in hopes to normalize the conversations around it.
My truth is I’ve suffered with depression and anxiety for more than half of my life (15+ years). There were times I truly considered and planned ending my life in my early twenties.
Crazy thing is I was functioning “as normal” and no one knew how much I was truly suffering in silence because “I looked happy”.
Although I am a long ways away from the person I was all those years ago and continue to find meaning in living this life day by day I still have my struggles.
Some days I don’t feel like getting out of bed or talking to humans so I self isolate for days (actively working on this).
This life is truly a journey and I continue to press on not only for myself but also for so many others.
Things that have helped me in my journey include prayer, meditation & therapy (yes all of ‘em).
Here’s some additional resources that can help anyone who may be struggling.

"The hardest part of the journey is believing you're worth the trip"
Remember, we are all having a human experience so if you're going to go out of your way to do anything, let it be to spread joy, love, kindness and happiness because you never know what the next person may be going through.
If nothing else I just want all of you to know that I’m here, you’re not by yourself and that you are not alone💜✨
