Someone recently mentioned this in conversation, and I was reminded that I had never shared this beautiful moment in the midst of postpartum chaos. I couldnāt let the opportunity pass without sharing something I was so incredibly honored to capture. š©µ
While I was on maternity leave, I received an inquiry about a sweet family whose son was battling cancer. He had been given the incredible opportunity to attend a private Blue Angels practice and meet some very special aviatorsāand they were looking for a photographer to document the experience. Of course, I couldnāt turn down an opportunity like that. And what a special day it was.
Getting to watch his sweet little face light up as he got to experience something so incredibly cool was something Iāll never forget. For a little while, it wasnāt about doctor appointments, treatments, or everything else heās had to faceāit was simply about being a kid, meeting the Blue Angels, and getting to experience a pretty unforgettable day.
Iām so grateful this family trusted me to preserve these moments for them. What an absolute honor it was to be there. š©µ
