At almost every wedding, someone eventually asks...
“Are y’all brother and sister?”
Or my personal favorite...
“That’s your husband, right?”

The answer is NO to both 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻

But to be fair... we did go to the same high school, grew up in the same neighborhood, we’re both Filipino, and somehow our families are from the same area in the Philippines 🤷🏻‍♀️ So we get it.
The reality is we’re more like the siblings that constantly give each other a hard time.

If one of us trips, the other is laughing first.. or… if someone crashes their drone, the other will never hear the last of it 👀(don’t worry, we have 2) There’s a healthy amount of roasting, sarcasm, and eye rolls throughout every wedding day.

But underneath all of that, there’s a ton of trust.

After shooting so many weddings together, we know how the other person works, where they’re going to be, and when to jump in without saying a word. That kind of teamwork lets us focus on taking care of our couples and capturing their day the best way we can.

So no... we’re not husband and wife.
We’re not brother and sister.
But we’re probably the closest thing to siblings without actually sharing parents. 😂

Honestly, shocked. We’ve only been at this together for a few years and to be voted the BEST in something that seemed like an experiment at the time, shocking is an understatement.

When Ian and I first started collaborating, we knew we wanted to create wedding films that felt VIBRANT, full of life, and showed the romance AND FUN of a wedding day.

At some point during the day, you’ll find me behind the camera quietly wiping away tears. Sometimes it’s the beautifully written vows. Sometimes it’s a father-daughter first look, when a dad sees his little girl all grown up before his eyes. And as a mom to a young son, don’t even get me started on mother-son dances. Those get me every single time.

The truth is, I’m just freaking softie. A softie for love in all its forms that remind us what ✨really✨ matters.

And Meredith and Matthew’s wedding was one of those reminders.

Their story began as a friendship that spanned five years before it grew into something more. Five more years of loving each other brought them to this moment.

Standing there during their first look, you could feel the weight of it all. The years of friendship, the years of choosing each other, the anticipation of finally arriving here. It was all a privilege to witness.

Some weddings feel big because of the details.
Some feel big because of the people. 🤍

A house filled with cousins running through doorways, nieces watching from the corners, aunts buttoning sleeves and fixing layers of tulle with tears already in their eyes. Laurin being helped into a dress worn by 9 women before her. NINE.

You could feel what these families have built over time through traditions, laughter around dinner tables, and hands helping hands everywhere you look.

It all felt beautifully unfiltered. Rain on the cars, people piled into rooms, everyone talking over each other, the sweetest kind of chaos. The whole day felt like a scene straight out of My Big Fat Greek Wedding and honestly… coming from a HUGE family myself, I never felt more at home 🤍

Congratulations Philip + Laurin, I think it’s safe to say that everyone is delighted that you found each other
