That's exactly how I'd describe my photography style. A little about me? I used to teach kindergarten and have a sassy 2 1/2 year old, so if you have concerns about your children not cooperating with a photographer, I can assure you, your sweet kiddos aren't going to give me anything I haven't seen before. I'm used to going above and beyond to get good shots of children, so while parents worry abo
ut their precious littles, they don't concern me a bit...and 9.5/10 times, the parents are worried for nothing! I'm a bit of a goofball, and I truly love what I do. Working with people is my favorite thing, and I love to laugh and have a great time on shoots, and nothing makes me happier than when the dads (who, let's face it, the moms usually have to drag there) leave our sessions saying, "You know, that was actually fun!" That's how I think family photos should be--FUN! If you're looking for a photographer who takes capturing your special moments extremely seriously while having a blast in the process, please feel free to contact me to chat about my portrait sessions! I would be honored to work with you! Want to know more about me and my photography start? Honestly, I don't remember a time when I didn't have a camera nearby. My first camera was a pink and purple LeClic camera that I got from Santa when I was nine years old. I adored it and took it on school field trips, had fashion shoots with my friends, you name it. (Perhaps I should've known then just how much I'd love photography?)
I fell in even more in love with photography in my high school's dark room while taking an elective class way back before things were digital. For high school graduation, my nana gave me a 35mm point and shoot that I loved toting around when I knew I would be in situations that it would be totally safe. I was "that girl" in college who ALWAYS had a camera on her. (It was the late '90's, and camera phones were not on the horizon yet--heck, we were hardly out of the bag phone phase!) When I deemed things too risky to take the 35mm from Nana along, I always had a disposable Kodak in my backpack purse. I didn't want to miss a second of the incredible moments that life offers. I've scrapbooked basically every one of those moments, and thankfully, my husband doesn't mind. The years passed, and things got digital! I got my first DSLR back in 2007, and how I have loved the joys of learning all things digital, as well as the editing techniques that have opened up a whole new world of creating images that are fun, fresh and new, yet clean and classic. You read this far! Thanks for taking the time, and please let me know how we can work together to preserve some snippets of your life. Christina :)
