Hi friends, it’s been a while!
Did ya miss me?
I missed YOU.
I’m so grateful for everyone who’s been so patient with me as we’ve navigated this new adventure.
I found out I was pregnant back in March, and decided to take some time away to focus on growing and delivering a healthy little boy, and spending some extra quality time with my first boy, before he became a big brother. My fiancé and I had been trying for a long time and this is our LAST baby, so, we really wanted to take it all in and live in the moment when we finally got news we’d be having a sweet little babe in the fall 🫶
Bailey John was born back in November & I finally feel like we are getting our bearings now being parents of two sweet kiddos— so, I’m looking to slowly ease my way back into photography.
I won’t be doing any big weddings (but still hit me up for those small, intimate ceremonies)— I’m planning on keeping it simple and doing the smaller, more individualized shoots that bring me the most joy because I feel like I deliver my best product when I’m having fun and can be creative with my people.
And that’s why I am coming back to you.
Because I miss bringing your visions to life, laughing with good friends, and documenting all of the little sweet memories life has to offer.
So, I hope to see you from the behind the lens really soon🫶

But here are some snapshots of sweet girl Reya Jade's 1st Birthday shoot. 🌼🌸

I had so much fun doing these. She was a very involved client. She wanted me to show her my camera roll at the end of every pose to make sure it fit her vision of what she was going for. We love a girl who knows what she wants 📸

The Thomas Family's First Christmas🎄

How beautiful is this family 🥹

This December was a HUGE hit for at-home sessions. And honestly, not mad about it! The clients are more relaxed, the kiddos are more relaxed, and the best part? I get to meet everyone's dogs.

I mean, name a better way to spend an hour than documenting sweet memories, seeing sweet babies, and petting some pups.

Nicole and I have been friends for quite some time.
She's also been one of my most supportive clients throughout the years. I've shot just about all of her kids' birthdays, and we've done some solo shoots together, too. I've always been her go-to gal for photography, and that has always felt like SUCH a privilege. It's a privilege for people to trust you with life's big moments.

But this shoot was different.
Trusting a photographer to capture your highlights? It's big. Don't get me wrong.
But trusting someone with your pain? Trusting someone when you're in your most vulnerable state?
Well, big doesn't even begin to cover that.
I took my time posting these because both the photos and the people in them are so incredibly special to me and I wanted to make sure Nicole had the proper time to share them, as she was ready, with her friends and family first.
They're more than just a photoshoot. They represent friendship. They represent trust. They represent an incredible family struck by an unfathomable loss. They represent an amazing father of two perfect kiddos. A wonderful and loving husband. A precious son. A friend. They represent the idea that the very best humans never EVER get enough time on this earth. They represent love, heartbreak, memories, and how pain can still be breathtakingly beautiful while making you want to cry your eyes out, punch the sky, and scream at how unjust this thing called life is.
Hunter was so loved. Hunter IS so loved. We may have cried our eyes out that day, but we also shared funny memories of Hunter -- good memories. We sat around all of his favorite things, at his favorite place, eating the donuts Nicole and Hunter had on their wedding day and chasing it with his favorite drink. We celebrated his life. Coincidently, we also had one of the most molten and warm golden hour sunsets I have ever seen, that day. It was pure magic.

It doesn't feel fair that pain gets the unfortunate privilege of still being beautiful.

In closing, I have only ever truly sought one thing out of photography: to create safe spaces for people. To be a person people feel like they could trust with big things. Someone comfortable that can meet you where you are. Someone that will both laugh with you and cry with you. Someone who could capture all the raw feelings and experiences that make humans, and show the beauty that lives even in the darkest spaces. So, being entrusted with the privilege of doing this shoot for Nicole and her mother-in-law is something I will forever be so eternally grateful for.
I love you both.

Thanks for letting me be but a small part of the love and memories you both have for such a special person.🧡
