View from the top of The Shaker in Pensacola Beach last night. We had a memorial for my best friend/second mom who passed away in December from cancer. She was the most giving loving person and she loved the beach so we ended our day wiyh a drink in her honor at one of her favorite local spots.

My beautiful beach is still recovering from COVID and Hurricane Sally - many places are still rebuilding and everywhere is short staffed. Taking in this view reminded me how small I am in this big world but also how resilient I am. It's been a difficult few years but the beach always soothes my soul. I needed the reminder yesterday to enjoy each day and make the most of it and that it's ok to put myself first.
