I began my photography journey 20 years ago, using a hand-me-down 35mm from my older brother. I was incredibly lucky to be able to take Photography as an elective from Kevin Ward. He taught me much about photography as an art form and was crucial in my development as a photographer. We actual

ly had enlargers, developed our own film and a large darkroom where we printed our photographs. Taking a photo through all of these steps and making mistakes, teaches you what works. Granted all of this was well before the DSLR revolution or Photoshop. Early in my college years, again thanks to my older brother, i was gifted my first digi, a Nikon D70. He had just returned from a trip to Asia and brought it back as a gift for me. I mostly started shooting landscape and wildlife around my hometown and on my travels, eventually some friends asked if I would be willing to do their engagement photos, and Golden Hour Photo was born.
