A shoutout to this kid (Stella) who killed it during the Manchester School of Dance Arts recital a couple of weeks ago. Her love of dance is contagious and she has amazing focus and drive for a kid living in the modern digital world. Her dance practice and academic work loads were a lot to handle this year but she managed her time effectively and did well to keep her grades up despite the rigors of that schedule. The incredible expenditure of energy and time it takes to become proficient at dance is mind blowing.

As a photographer she makes my recital pictures easy to take. She’s a true pro and knows how to project poise, grace and joy, while performing these very intense physical routines. It’s not easy but she makes it look almost effortless and always beautiful.
She also mentors and teaches young dancers at the studio and has a patience and warmth beyond her years.
We’re very proud of her and love the young lady she has become and we’re grateful to have her in our lives.

These are some of my favorite shots of Stella doing what she loves the most.
She’s a natural and knows how to emote to the audience exactly what the choreography is trying to express.
